Local favorite Lauren Brabson performed her original songs for an adoring crowd outside host Janie’s Highland neighborhood home. I recorded video of her performance but had to scrap a lot of it due to vocal distortion issues. I’m trying to find the songs that fared better so you can enjoy some of what she shared that morning.

I believe the issue came from the gain on the microphone being too high or “hot” which allowed only her most gentle vocals to come through clearly.

Next time I get the opportunity to record this amazing artist, I’ll be sure to capture better quality sound.
